Deposit
Cash is accepted for deposit. Cash deposit range from USD $100- $300
A refundable deposit varying from USD $100 to USD $300 (depending on the vehicle groups) will be held from the credit card at the time of rental until the vehicle is returned.
While this hold is in place, the funds will not be available for your use. At the end of the rental, the pre-authorization hold is released for the full value of the security deposit: Provided that the car is refueled. Provided that the car is returned at the agreed location, date and time. Except for your amount of "responsibility", if any, in the event of damage/loss as specified on the rental document. Please bear in mind that although supplier processes the reversal at the end of the rental, your bank may take time to post it back to your account.
Insurance Coverage
Insurance is accepted only if issued in the following country (ies): USA and Canada.
All insurances are accepted as long as it specifically states that Bahamas is covered. We do not accept AMEX insurance, Client will be required to purchase insurance at the reservation desk if an AMEX insurance is presented.
Acceptable proof of insurance must include Third Party Liability (TPL) Coverage up to USD 50000 and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Coverage up to USD 50000.
If customer uses his / her own insurance a higher security deposit is required.
A refundable deposit varying from USD 100 to USD 300 (depending on the vehicle group) will be held from the credit card OR cash until the car is returned.
Acceptable proof of insurance must include an insurance declaration page or letter of coverage, must be sent 24 hours prior to vehicle pickup. May be emailed to reservations@esteemcarrentals.com or sent via WhatsApp on 18762907052.
The insurance must be valid for at least 60 days from the pick-up date.
If you do not comply with the insurance requirements listed above OR your self-Insurance/Credit card insurance is not from the above mentioned companies, you need to purchase insurance at the rental desk in order to rent the vehicle.
Insurance can be purchased at the rental for an additional charge which is:
Collision Damage Waiver - USD 25.00 per day.

Please Note: Excess amount can be higher, in case where the renter is proven Driving under Influence (DUI), using a control substance or intoxicated by alcohol or cannabis and is proven by the police.
In the event of loss or damage to Vehicle while on rental, whether or not it is the fault of the customer, customer shall pay to the supplier on demand the amount of all resulting loss and expenses of the supplier.
Claims Process
1. In the event of damage to the rental vehicle during a motor vehicle accident, the renter must immediately notify the car Rental Company and local authorities (if applicable).
2. The renter must complete an incident report and provide all relevant information and documentation as requested by the car rental company.
3. CDW coverage will only apply if the renter complies with the claims process and terms of the rental agreement.
Renter shall pay supplier on demand the sum total of all expenses for:
a). Fines, penalties, forfeitures, court costs and other expenses, if assessed against supplier compulsion of law, with respect to use of Vehicle while on rental to customer, unless due to supplier's fault; but this shall not relieve customer or any other person of direct responsibility to any federal, state, or municipal body for his unlawful conduct.
b). Supplier's cost, including Attorney's fees, incurred in collecting payments due from Renter under this agreement;
c). Service and wrecking charges in the event of an accident which is customer's fault.
d). Spares, tools and accessories missing from vehicle, however loss or damaged.
e). Damage to Vehicle or property if Rental period has expired and vehicle is not returned. All charges are subject to final audit.
Customer releases and holds supplier, its agent and employees, harmless from all claims for loss or damage to personal property of customer or any other person, left or carried in or upon Vehicle or any Service Vehicle on premises of supplier by customer, or such persons; or received, handled or stored by supplier, at any time before, during or after this rental, whether or not same is due to Owner's negligence or other fault.
Coverage Exclusions:
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is subject to certain limitations and exclusions,CDW is sold at the rental desk at a cost of USD $25 per day Maximum Excess 1000
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) will be invalid if:
a). Damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
b). Damage resulting from reckless driving or negligence.
c). Damage caused by unauthorized drivers.
d). Damage to the interior of the vehicle, such as upholstery or electronic equipment.
e). Major single vehicular accident. (Example if renter is speeding and loses control and overturn or runoff the road).
f). Theft of personal belongings from the rental vehicle.
g). Damage resulting from negligence, including leaving the keys in an unattended vehicle.
Driver’s Age
The minimum driver’s age is 25 years and the maximum driver age is 75 years.
Drivers outside of this age group is not accepted.
To be authorized to drive your rental vehicle, Additional Drivers must meet the following requirements:
1. At the time of vehicle pick-up, all additional drivers must be present, with their full and valid Driver License, so that Esteem Car Rental Limited team members can validate their identity.
2. All drivers must meet the same Esteem Car Rental Limited Bahamas Standard Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions as the main driver, to be covered under the same rental agreement.
Driver’s License
Drivers must hold a full and valid license for at least:
1 year of driving experience is required for all vehicles
A valid ID card and passport would be required at time of pick up.
An International Driver’s License (IDL) is mandatory. International driver license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver.
The driver should not drive, operate or use the vehicle if any of the following apply:
a). He/she possesses a revoked, suspended, expired or otherwise invalid license
b). He/she is under the influence of any substance which may impair his/her faculties
c). The vehicle is being used to transport people and/or property for compensation
d). The vehicle is being used to transport hazardous or explosive substances
e). The vehicle is being used to give driving lessons
f). The vehicle is being used to propel or tow any vehicle, trailer or other object
g). The vehicle is being used to enter any competitive racing, pace-making or testing event
h). The vehicle is being used in any abusive, reckless, or grossly negligent manner
i). The vehicle is being used beyond its rated capacity with respect to weight/occupancy
j). The vehicle is being used in any illegal activity
k). The vehicle is being used in violation of any parking/traffic rules
Fees
Airport surcharge in included in rental rate.
Other fees:
1. You are responsible for the cost of any tolls, traffic fines, parking fines and other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to you. The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to you plus any administrative expenses (if applicable).
2. If the vehicle is returned dirty and requires cleaning extra charge of will apply. This charge is variable based on the condition of the vehicle.
3. Smoking is not allowed in the vehicle. If traces of smoke are found in the vehicle, a penalty fee for smoking in the car will apply.
Early Returns/Unused Rental Days
No refunds (partial or full) will be given for rentals ended early including the purchase of ancillary items, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date.
Breakdown Assistance
Breakdown assistance is available for an additional charge of USD $10per day
Relevant contact details and roadside assistance procedures will be given prior to the commencement of the hire.
Fuel Policy
You have to return the vehicle with same fuel amount as it was supplied to you at the time of pickup. In case of less fuel, missing fuel charge of USD $100 will be taken from your security deposit. A fuel station is in close proxity to the office so customers are encouraged to refuel before returning the vehicle. Unused fuel is not refundable. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated. Supplier's fuel policies change from time to time, please confirm at rental counter.
Mileage Policy
Unlimited
Cross Border Travel
Cross border travel is not allowed.
Ferry Travel
Taking the rented vehicle on ferry is not allowed.
One Way Rentals
One way rentals must be requested 48 hours prior to pick up.
One way rentals is allowed. However, there will be a fee applicable for the same. Please check with the supplier at the rental desk for more details.
Tax Rate
Tax is included in the rental price. However, for all the optional extras or special equipment, or extra services, tax would be levied separately.
Payment Methods
Only American Express, Diners Club, Discover Card, MasterCard and Visa credit cards are accepted and must be on the main renter’s name while paying at the rental desk.
Cash is accepted for rental payments.
Debit Card Policy
Debit cards - only Visa or MasterCard are accepted. Debit card name and billing address must match the renter's / driver's license information; the minimum hold on the debit card will be equal to the security deposit.
Delivery and Collection
This service is available only on request and must be requested 24 hours prior to pick up or drop off.
NOTE that customers will be picked up from their respective hotel and taken to our office to process paperworks. This is available to Hotel / Apartment / Airbnb during office hours for an additional charge of USD 25 per way. MUST in close proxity to the airport.
Additional charges may apply if you make changes to your booking within one hour of the scheduled drop-off time.
If the customer changes his / her drop off location within one hour of scheduled drop-off time, during the rental, then additional charge of USD 25 will apply.

Out of Hours
Out of hour service is allowed for a fixed fee of USD 100. Customers are required to contact the reservation team 24 hours prior to your requested Out of Hours time. reservations@esteemcarrentals.com or whatsapp 18762907052. Note After hours return is between the hours of 7:30-8:59 am and 5:01pm-7:30pm.
Extras
Confirmation of Special Equipment’s depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
